Lighting Artist

We are looking for a Lighting Artist to work as part of our development team making AAA games in Unreal Engine by lighting our environments and characters with an understanding of modern lighting techniques and an eye for artistic excellence.  

 

You must be able to work closely with individuals in the other development disciplines to create excellent lighting for rewarding player experiences for our environments and characters.  

 

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement lighting for our environments on our current projects.

  • Work with the Art Director on look development for pre-production and pitches.

  • Get involved in the lighting of other projects.

  • Collaborate with the Art and Code teams.

 

Qualifications

  • High levels of knowledge in lighting and colour theory.

  • Strong abilities in real-time rendering and post FX in a physically based pipeline.

  • Experience in creating and directing level lighting and post FX in a real-time engine.

  • Knowledge of shaders, materials and textures and their impact on lighting.

  • Ability to balance visual quality, design needs and performance requirements.

  • Experience in Unreal 4/Unreal 5 is advantageous.
