Tools Engineer

We are looking for Tools Engineers (at all levels) to work as part of our development team making AAA games in Unreal Engine by designing and implementing new editor tools that enhance the developer experience and iteration speed. The Tools Engineer is responsible for improving the workflows used to create games in Unreal Engine.



  • Design and implement new tools across various game development disciplines (art, level design, animation, build automation).

  • Communicate with other departments to improve and debug existing tools, workflow and practices.

  • Provide support and documentation to the users of the tools.



  • Programming experience in Edition Tools (level/map editor, keyframe/timeline tool based, visual node edition system, Fx/Particle editor, etc.)

  • Strong knowledge of C/C++.

  • Ability to write clear, maintainable, portable code.

  • Ability to fearlessly jump into large, existing codebases.

  • Experience with game engine content tools and pipelines.

  • Excellent systems design experience.

  • Experience balancing performance and maintainability.

  • Knowledge and experience in 3D Math (matrix, etc.)

  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
